Her reign has been extended into 2018.
All that bull doesn’t scare this little girl.
The Fearless Girl statue, which was scheduled to come down on April 2, is here to stay — at least until next year, the city of New York announced Sunday. The statue of the young girl, hands on her hips and head held high, stands in front of the infamous Wall Street bull.
“In her short time here, the Fearless Girl has fueled powerful conversations about women in leadership and inspired so many,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a written statement. “Now, she’ll be asserting herself and affirming her strength even after her temporary permit expires – a fitting path for a girl who refuses to quit.”
Though the artist who created the bull wants the little girl gone, many politicians have come out in support of her, including Chelsea Clinton.
