Some professions are more desirable to potential lovers
This is one case they’ll definitely win.
If you’re looking for love, you might have better luck if you’re a lawyer. That was the most desirable job for both men and women to hold, according to recent data out from dating site Happn. The app crunched the numbers from its 2.9 million users to determine what daters, sorted by the profession they listed on their profiles, got the most likes from dating app users.
Though attorneys won for both men and women, the list then diverges. For men, the most popular jobs after lawyer were analysts, engineers, salesmen, and doctors, according to Mashable, which reported on the survey. For women, after lawyers, it was designer, teacher, marketer, and physician.
Of course, Happn is a small app, so you might wonder how relevant this data is across the nation. Good news for all you attorneys out there: Earlier this year, Bumble released it’s most popular jobs data, and attorney also topped that list. Rounding out the top 5: investment banker, doctor, real estate broker, marketing director.
And on a recent list on most right-swiped jobs from Tinder, attorneys had a decent showing as well, landing a spot in the top 15 for men (pilot was No. 1), though they didn’t make an appearance in the most right-swiped jobs jobs for women (physical therapist took the No. 1 spot there).
Of course, other things matter on dating apps too — and often more — including your looks and similar hobbies and interests.
