Finding love is a shore thing.

The Jersey Shore is apparently the No. 1 town for singles to make a match this summer, beating out destinations like the Hamptons, Nantucket and Myrtle Beach, according to new data from Tinder.

The dating app found that the Seaside Heights, N.J. destination — infamous as the stomping grounds for Snooki, DJ Pauly D, JWoww and MTV’s “Jersey Shore” cast — is the most right-swiped town this summer. That means singles who use the app (where users swipe right to connect with someone, or swipe right to ignore them) are most likely to find matches in the area.

The Jersey Shore has long been a family destination for summer fun, and the recent “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” reboot more than a decade after the reality show premiered in 2009 is only helping draw in more singles looking to mingle. Tinder found that more users were “Passporting” there (a feature available only to Tinder Plus subscribers who pay between $9.99 and $19.99 a month extra for unlimited swipes), meaning they were changing their location to the Jersey Shore in the app regardless of where they actually were. So you can, in theory, be in Florida and scout out the Garden State’s dating pool if you pay to subscribe.

It’s also worth noting that in 2017, tourists spent $2.5 billion in the Jersey Shore on food, hotels, recreation, entertainment, transportation and second homes; that’s an increase of $65,000,000.00 or 2.6% over 2016, so Seaside Heights has been riding a wave of popularity.

Tinder looked at some of the top summer destinations in the U.S., and divided the amount of right swipes received on its app by the total number of overall swipes in each area between May and July 2018. It then measured comparable areas, and put them head-to-head to see which was more ideal for finding love. So for example, Newport, R.I. beat out Nantucket, Mass., while Ocean City, Md. beat out Outer Banks, N.C.

Here is how the cities on Tinder’s list match up for meeting your match:

Newport, R.I. > Nantucket, Mass.
Ocean City, Md. > Outer Banks, N.C.
Coronado, Calif. > Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Myrtle Beach, S.C. > Gulf Shores, Ala.
Vail, Colo. > Aspen, Colo.
Key West, Fla. > St. Simons, Ga.

And a pro tip: Tinder said Saturdays are the most popular days for swiping in the majority of these towns; with the exception of the Outer Banks, which showed Mondays are ideal, and Aspen, where Tuesdays are best.
