The ‘Sesame Street’ Muppet gives light-hearted cookieisms in new book ‘The Joy of Cookies.’
C is for cookie.
America’s favorite fuzzy blue Muppet Cookie Monster is giving fans some sweet life advice in a tell all book called “The Joy of Cookies: Cookie Monster’s Guide To Life,” out next April.
A great alternative to stress eating these days, the light-hearted life lessons are a parody of mantras like “make cookies, not war,” Entertainment Weekly reports.
“My first idea was to make book out of cookies…but early copies mysteriously missing,” Cookie quips in the kid’s book, published by Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group.
The book was inspired by the recent iPhone 6 commercial of Cookie using Siri to help bake a batch of cookies while impatiently waiting for the timer to ring.
The beloved character, known for having a voracious appetite on the long-running children’s show “Sesame Street,” is a founding foodie, often sharing his most candid feelings about onion rings, sushi, lobster and lasagna with the world.
In a hilarious, “Simply Delicious Shower Thoughts” video, the Muppet opined, “Onion rings are vegetable donuts;” and “It’s weird that we cook bacon and bake cookies. Hmm.”
It’s unclear if the new book will divulge Cookie’s special cookie recipe — but food fans can revisit “Big Bird’s Busy Book” from the 1970’s to recreate the signature snack.
The cookie credo is available for pre-order on Amazon for $15.99.
Here are five cookieisms to remember when the cookie starts to crumble:
- “Love is meaning of Life.”
- “Love Cookies is purpose of life.”
- “If question going to be cookie, answer going to be yes!”
- “People ask why maybe little bit of cookie fall out of mouth when me eat. That just way cookie crumbles.”
- “Eat more cookies.”
