Comfort food pairs great with these skinny jeans.

Beija-Flor, a line of pants tailored to work with a woman’s curves, uses eco-friendly material for its flexible jeans that doesn’t feel skin-tight — so you can binge eat this holiday season and actually breathe, sans Spanx. The under-$200 jeans come in all different styles like skinny, bootcut and cropped, and are available online and at Bloomingdales.

“We like to eat and wanted to eliminate the discomfort we felt while wearing jeans,” Emilie Whitaker tells Moneyish of starting the Greenville, South Carolina-based clothing company with her mother Kathy Moca.

What’s more, Whitaker says the jeans can help reduce the appearance of cellulite. On a trip to Brazil, the mother-daughter duo discovered a high-tech fabric called “Emana.” It’s made of tiny, biocrystals that absorb a person’s body heat and then transfer the heat wave back to your body for constant skin stimulation. The duo claims that the result is smoother skin and increased elasticity. And if you wear them for six hours a day, every day for a month, the jeans promise to help reduce cellulite, boost circulation and enhance skin to feel smoothers and look younger. But some experts say the scientific research that supports these claims is scarce.

“When we entered the market there were jeans with stretch, but they were stretching out. The blends of the fibers we use is the key to making sure they look the same way in the dressing room they still fit you,” Whitaker assures.

When it comes to picking out the perfect pants for marathon-eating on Thanksgiving, Whitaker recommends The Kelly Skinny ($178), a high-waisted pair in colors from classic blue to chili pepper and chocolate truffle (the names even encourage you to indulge!) said to flatten tummies.

“It has that freedom of wearing a knit, but it has the properties of low shrinkage. It’s not going to stretch out,” Whitaker assures.

Want the right pair for your body type? Whitaker says a comfortable pair of jeans should have just the right amount of give. One trick: Peek at the fiber content and look out for a jean that has more than a 2% stretch blend, like 98% cotton and 2% spandex. There are a variety of different stretch fabrics like lycra and spandex, some of the more common comfy materials used in jeans.
