The taco for the 1 percent has arrived. 

The Frida restaurant at the luxe $750-plus-a-night hotel Grand Velas Los Cabos in Mexico has introduced a $25,000 taco. The gold-flake infused corn tortilla is stuffed with Kobe beef, Almas Beluga caviar, langoustine and black truffle brie cheese. It is then topped with a salsa made from dried Morita chili peppers and Ley .925 ultra-premium añejo tequila, one of the world’s most expensive tequilas. The $25K taco serves two people.


“I created the taco by searching for the most premium products from Mexico — like the Morita chiles, tequila, lobster — and combining them with the most expensive ingredients found around the globe,” executive chef Juan Licerio Alcala told Conde Nast Traveler.

Should you want to fork over even more cash? The restaurant offers a hand-crafted white gold and pure platinum bottle of Ley.925 Pasión Azteca Ultra Premium Añejo for an additional $150,000.
